ABOUT KIDS FIRST

Kids First’s Team

The Kids First Teams are made up of Parents, Clinicians and Administrative Staff, Program Coordinators and Aides. We use an  employee model to design and implement services. Below is a list of our team members and their associated roles.

Parents - identifies areas of need and priorities for service. Parents work collaboratively with other team members to implement and generalize skills as they occur in the natural environment. Parents participate in a shared administrative role with Kids First personnel.

Director - oversees all aspects of our operation. Provides Clinical Supervision and the overall Vision and Direction of Kids First.

Parent Liaison - oversees and provides guidance to families including:  consultation with Parents on the grieving process, family function, community and transition resources, programming and related programming needs.

Business Manager - creates process and procedure documentation and provides education and consultation with regard to these matters. Leads special projects as required. Provides business consultation and necessary structure to grow in accordance with the Director's vision.

Program Coordinator/Behaviour Consultant - sets up child’s program by coordinating meetings; maintaining contact list; maintaining child’s data collection, providing support and training to Aides and addressing any concerns regarding therapy. Ensure the child’s program is running smoothly.

Aides - work directly with the family and child to implement the strategies outlined by the Parents and Clinicians. Aides work with families and their child at scheduled times between 1 and 5 days a week at 1 - 3 hour intervals based on their program plan.  Aides are responsible for recording data and creating progress summaries based on their visits to ensure all parties involved in the therapeutic process are current on the child and family's progress.

Human Resource Coordinator - works closely with our Program
Coordinators to ensure our families have their staffing requirements
met.  With the support of the Program Coordinators, our HR Coordinator
arranges all in house and external staff training, coordinates reviews, responds to enquiries regarding personnel matters, arrange postings for job vacancies, interviews applicants, conducts reference checks and handles overall management of Kids First Human Resources.
